Before I had children, I thought I had life figured out. Now I realize that nothing is as simple as it seems. Once devoted to my job, I now happily stay home with my three children and try to give them a joyful childhood without forgetting my own passions.

Irresistible
These pictures hide very little of Tai. Maybe someday I will show them to his friends and cause him to roll his eyes and say, "Mom..." but until then, I thought my blog readers would enjoy seeing Tai in his unencumbered chubby glory.

Japanese Outfits
Recently, o-ji-chan and o-ba-chan sent some exciting presents for the kids. Among them, were these two adorable outfits for Tai. Upon first glance, the clothes looked big, but I decided to try them on him, and they fit perfectly. Grandma and Grandpa did a good job picking out the correct size! I thought I'd put the pictures in a post so everyone can enjoy the cuteness:)

Painting the Basement
It's mid-April, and our basement is finally finished. We are just waiting for the carpeting to be delivered in a few days, and then the whole project is over. For the walls, we chose a light blue color. I prefer deeper, more intense colors, but finally agreed with Yoshi that those wouldn't look very good in our basement where there is not a lot of natural light. We went with a very light hue of blue, and the room looks brighter and more spacious as a result. Once the carpeting has arrived, I'll post some pictures of the finished room, but in the meantime, here are some pictures of the painting process. Needless to say, Maia was very excited to help paint, and Yoshi was quite patient.

Hanging at Home
Some of these pictures have rather funny surprises when you click on them to make them bigger. I still thought they were cute, so I included them. Looking at them will give you a good idea of what my days are like:)

More Sibling Bonding
Here are some pictures of the kiddos hanging out on Maia's bed. They are getting along very well, and Maia is eager for the day that Tai will get to sleep in her room. Due to our small house and having only two bedrooms on the first floor, the two of them will share a room once Tai is old enough to leave his mommy and daddy. This will entail much reconfiguration of space and creative decorating, so it won't happen for a while! After all, we're still putting the finishing touches on our basement.
